I have been using the htc surround running windows phone 7 and taking over 400 pictures. I never emailed, uploaded, or used zune to get the picture to PC until today. It is a big surprise to me that the file size of the pictures is less than 1M(something around 800k-900k). I checked and the camera was set to the highest resolution(5M, and the resolution 2552x1944) after I sync all the pictures to my PC via zune. I have 10-year-old 4M canon camera, and most of the file is around 1.8-2.2M.
And other surprise to me is that the photo resolution is reduced quite a bit when I email the photo. But windows photo didn't prompt any confirmation about that. Do we have a global setting somewhere to control the image quality when email the photo? In another words, do we have a way to email the photo in the original quality using the phone?
I also noticed the picture I uploaded to skydive is even worse... The image resolution becomes something around 700x600 (I didn't write down the exact number). So the same question again, do we have a way to keep the same image quality when upload the photos to skydive?
